Allied Health Scholar:The primary aim of The Allied Health Scholar is to support and inspire Health Science practitioners and research students to strive for excellence in research, through the publication and dissemination of their research findings. This enables less experienced researchers to be supported in becoming familiar with the publication process, thereby facilitating ongoing engagement in future publications and life-long learning. The journal provides a platform for the dissemination and showcasing of entry-level research both locally and globally. The Editorial Team is a collective group of Allied Health professionals with a global initiative to improve the quality and safety of allied health practice. Our mission is to contribute to better health and wellbeing for all, through evidence-based interventions. We work locally, nationally and globally to create new knowledge and translate evidence into practice, partnering with researchers, clinicians, educators, policy makers, government, industry, professional and consumer groups and the broader community. Student research and entry-level research from practioners are valued. Student research is accepted at honours, masters and PhD level. The journal publishes high quality entry-level and student research – including both primary studies and secondary studies (i.e. systematic reviews, scoping reviews). Papers submitted to the Health Science Student Research Journal is expected to comply with recognised reporting standards and undergoes the standard review process, allowing the authors to refine their study paper in response to the review. The authors can then choose to submit the final copy of the paper for dissemination through the Allied Health Scholar, or submit it to a higher impact journal. The ATN Assessment conference provides participants with the opportunity to explore ways to maximise student engagement through effective assessment policies, procedures and practices.
