A Special Night for Guests 21+ Welcome to the Milwaukee County Zoo!What to Expect When You Visit

The Zoo’s outdoor habitats are currently open, along with most animal buildings open at 100% capacity. Primates of the World is closed. Please see this article and these FAQs for complete information.

Visitors are required to wear masks inside all Zoo buildings. Masks are not required to be worn outside. Zoo staff regularly discuss the current mask policy and the necessity for visitors to follow this Milwaukee County Administrative Order to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

We appreciate your continued patience as we navigate through this unusual time, and we remain as responsive as we can be to encourage mask-wearing for the health and safety of all visitors.

We ask that all visitors do their part following the mask directive, and Zoo staff members do their best to remind visitors to wear masks inside all buildings. While we can’t enforce mask-wearing, we are counting on our visitors to do the right thing.

Like so many other institutions, the Zoo is facing a significant staff shortage, which may result in some amenities not being available, limited menu items in concession areas, and fewer attractions offered.

We are doing our best to offer as rich of an experience as possible for visitors during this difficult time. Please be patient with us.

Admission rates remain the same, as your visit directly supports the Milwaukee County Zoo – its animals, special exhibits, and conservation programs, as well as its respected place in the community.

The Zoo continues to serve as a cultural asset and resource for all who visit.
