January 24, Bagan Ancient Temples in MyanmarBagan or Pagan is an ancient city in Myanmar packed with temples, pagodas and shrines. In total there are more than 3000 religious buildings in Bagan spread out over an area of 42 square kilometers.

It is said that there are even more then 4000 temples, but some of them are merely piles of rubble. Bagan is actually the largest area of Buddhist temples in the world.

The city is built on a plane and when you manage to climb one of the temples you can see stupa's until the horizon. It is a spectacular sight.
December 21, Luang Say Slow Boat Northern LaosLuang Say is a cruise company in northern Laos that offers a luxury slow river cruise on the Mekong River between Luang Prabang and Huay Xai. The standard cruise takes two days and makes a stop at the luxury Luang Say lodge in Pakbeng. 3 and 4 day cruises are also available.

It is truly one of the best experiences you can have in South East Asia. The cruise travels through the virgin jungles in northern Laos. Along the way there are stops at the Pak Ou Caves and two rural villages.

On board lunch and snacks are provided. Around sunset on the first day you will arrive at the Luang Say lodge where you can enjoy a great Laos style dinner on the river. The next morning after breakfast you continue to your destination.
November 15 Lopburi, Monkey temple and sunflower fields ThailandLopburi is an off the beaten track destination for day trippers from Bangkok. This small city can be found 150 kilometers north of the Thai capital and it will take you only 2,5 hours to get there by train and 2 hours by bus.

The main attraction at Lopburi is the colony of Monkeys that lives around Prang Sam Yot temple in the old city center. These monkeys basically control the city and you will see them everywhere.

Between November and January you can visit the sunflower fields east of the city. It is an amazing sight to visit. These are the biggest sunflower fields in Thailand and they have a nice mountain backdrop.
October 21, Taxi service Pattaya to Siem ReapWe found some reliable taxi drivers in Pattaya in Thailand that can now bring people straight to the border with Cambodia at Aranyaprathet for 2500 baht. If you travel with 4 or 5 people we can also arrange a bigger taxi (SUV) for 2800 baht.

September 24, Petronas Towers, Kuala LumpurYou can not miss the Petronas Towers when you are in Kuala Lumpur. At a height of 451m. the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers is a world renowned icon of modern Malaysia. It is the center piece of Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC) in the Golden Triangle.

The Petronas Towers comprises the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center Suria KLCC shopping mall, star-rated hotels, a mosque as well as the immaculately landscape KLCC Park.

One of the highlights of a visit here is standing at the Skybridge on the Fourty First floor for a breathtaking view of the city skyline. You can get tickets to the skybridge in the morning, the ticket window opens at 08:30 at the Concourse Level. It is free, but there are limited tickets available.
