Dr. Heather Alumbaugh, Vice President for Academic Life, announced today that De La Salle High School senior Ryan Vaughn has been named a semifinalist for the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program. On Tuesday, September 1, the De La Salle High School Board of Trustees announced that school President, Mark DeMarco 78, will be retiring at the end of the 2020-21 school year. Mark DeMarco has served as the De La Salle President since 2007, when he was named the school s first Alumni President. This year s virtual Back to School Night is scheduled for this coming Thursday, September 3rd. Each of your son s teachers provided a pre-recorded video, outlining their course for the fall semester. Over the last week, compounding our challenges with embarking on a full distance learning model and the inherent tech issues/outages that crop up, our community has been also been dealing with the impact and threats of power outages due to the excessive heat, and now the fires have caused a number of our families to be threatened with evacuations or to be displaced from their homes.
