Freshman Orientation RegistrationParents and members of the Class of 2024, We are so excited to welcome you to Bloomington High School South. Panther life is a good life and we are ready for you to be a part of it!Beginning Monday, July 27 and ending Thursday, July 30, incoming freshmen will have the opportunity to come to South, tour the building in small groups and go through their class schedule with an upperclass mentor. These visits will be scheduled in 30-minute increments beginning at 9am with the last tour at 12:30pm. Sign up for a time slot at the form linkedHERE. You may also order a Class of 2024 t-shirt on the registration form. The cost is $10 and money can be turned in when you come for your tour. You will get your t-shirt that day. If a student chooses not to schedule a tour, they can still order a t-shirt via the form and mail $10 to BHSS, 1965 S. Walnut St., Bloomington, IN 47401.Drop off and pick up will be done at the front of the building.All students will be socially distanced.Masks are required by all participants.Parents may not enter the building.Students may bring lunch money in an envelope with their full name which will then be loaded to the lunch account by Food Services.Questions about the tour can be directed to Shelby Batten at sbatten@mccsc.edu or Kathryn Reeves at kreeves@mccsc.edu.We look forward to meeting you. This schedule is reflective of the course requests you made.We are not able to make adjustments based on periods, trimesters, lunches or other preferences as we work to ensure proper class enrollment.Please do check to make sure there are no errors within your schedule (signed up for the wrong level of a course, missing a part of a class, etc). Adjustments will be made for completed summer school courses and the need to retake courses. Schedules may change prior to school starting due to balancing and some staffing changes. Our priority is to ensure that students are enrolled in the correct classes and remain on track for timely graduation. Summer Reading 2020-2021While we encourage all students to read thissummer, because of these unique circumstances at this time, we are suspending thesummerreadingrequirement for 9th grade English Honors and 10th grade English Honors courses. 11th and 12th AP/HD English students WILL have summer reading!
