THE WRITER-LY WORLD OF ANDREA CEFALO Blogging Medieval History, Grimm s Fairy Tales, and My Progress on The Fairytale Keeper Series Bio Besides being an award-winning historical fiction novelist, I m also a hopeless bookworm who regularly blogs about Medieval Europe. I graduated with honors from Winthrop University in 2007 where I studied medieval art history, children’s literature, and education. After a short stint in teaching, I wrote and published my first novel, The Fairytale Keeper, which was a quarter-finalist in Amazon’s Breakthrough Novel Contest. Though I no longer teach, I enjoy inspiring teens to read, write, and explore history through my author events. This spring, I was a speaker at the Girl Scouts Powerful Women’s Summit in my home city of Greenville, South Carolina.While some may call my obsession with Grimm s fairytales and the dark underbelly of Medieval Europe unhealthy, I call it inspiration.So if you re into what I m into, follow me into my dark, sometimes snarky writerly world. That is, if someone where to ask, What time is it? and the time was 3am, would a person say, it s three o clock or did time pertain to the most recent bell. For example, it s 3 hours past midnight.
