Softneck

California Early: Early maturing version of California. Good flavor, stores well. Mild.

Inchelium Red: Extra-large bulbs with good, lingering flavor. Can get hotter in storage. Medium.

Sicilian: Rich deep flavor; crisp texture when raw. Good keeper, great for braiding. Medium.

Transylvanian: A good, consistent producer in colder climates. Strong aroma and sharp flavor hold up well when cooked. Hot.

Hardneck

Killarney Red: Rocambole. Strong and nutty flavor, does well in wet climates. Hot.

Korean Mountain: Asiatic. Has a spicy flavor, producing good sized bulbs with impressive clove size. Very productive. Medium.

June is usually the beginning of our “dry” season. But with record rainfall and cool temperatures throughout spring and now into June, our gardens are anything but dry. The greater concern now is what happens when all that storm water leaves your property.
