ACE Personnel is a family owned and operated service founded in 1977 by Diane Anderson (“Mrs. A.) . It began as a home-based business and has since been devoted to helping the local community with childcare and home care solutions.

Becca

Becca is the daughter of the founder of ACE. She currently is the owner of ACE Personnel. Having worked for ACE over the years as a young adult and having a thirty plus year background in real estate, Becca understands the importance of finding each Individual their perfect fit.

Hilda

Hilda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and has worked as a Nurse aide in Singapore and a Government employee in the Philippines. Hilda provides a wealth of experience with over 15 years at Ace Personnel giving  trusted advice on finding the right caregiver for her Clients.

Janice

Janice started her career at ACE Personnel in 1996 through a recommendation from her school counselor. Over the past 25 years she has been placing nannies, caregivers and housekeepers. Besides that, Janice now manages the day to day operations of the company.

Katherine

Katherine has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in the Philippines and had years of professional experience working as a nurse in a government hospital. With her familiarity and skills in both healthcare and office administrative settings, Katherine sure knows how to recognize and evaluate the people’s needs and it’s extent.

Is a nanny an employee or a contractor?

Most of the time, the Canada Revenue Agency, the Ministry of Labour and the courts find that nannies are considered employees and not contractors. To determine the status of the nanny in your household, you will have to answer either yes or no to the following three questions.

Your nanny will be considered an independent contractor if the answer to these question was no, and she will be considered an employee of yours if the answer to these questions was yes.

However, we strongly recommend for you to obtain legal advice from a lawyer to be certain on whether the status of your nanny is one of employee or independent contractor.

How do I become a nanny?

Looking to jumpstart your career as a nanny in Vancouver? Being a nanny is a rewarding career and there are many benefits, such as flexible hours and friendly, comfortable work environments.

Our nanny agency in Vancouver is always looking for talented nannies! All interested candidates can apply directly on our website. Both part-time and full-time positions are available. Only qualified candidates will be contacted directly by our agency for an interview.

Job duties include taking care of household chores, preparing meals, and supervising children. It is important to note that a nanny is a person of trust and needs to be responsible and engaging with children. 2-3 years of experience is preferred.

All new employees will be required to provide a recent Criminal Record Check (executed within 6 months) including a Vulnerable Sector Screening.
