Webmaster@pnwbands.comPLEASEREPORT DEAD LINKSVoluntaryDonations Via PayPal AcceptedPay to: Webmaster@pnwbands.comcreation of this website was an accident. What was originally intendedto be about one or two dozen band tribute pages added to TheRegents of Tacoma website to pay tribute to the bands playing in thePacific Northwest with the Regents in the early to mid-1960's got a littleout of hand. No sooner would our webmaster(Sam) finish one page, then one or more of the musicians in that band wouldask Sam if he would make a page for their other band. Well, overthree thousand band pages later, Sam is still at it making new or updatedpages almost daily. If your band is not represented in this collection,it is because you haven't submitted the information, not because Sam "missed"Ifyou had or have a NW band that had members from the early days of PacificNorthwest music (1954 - 1979), or if you have a current or post-1979 NWband, have a member who is listed in one of the bands already on this site, and would like to have that band represented here, please contact Sam,our webmasterWhat Some SaidAbout PNW BandsThissite is one of the best things to have happened to Northwest musicians;it salutes them all for helping to create the unique NW spin on Rock andRoll, Country, Blues, and jazz that we have enjoyed for the last 50 years.Thank you!!Mitchell, The CherChers Red Thelin's Country StarlightersWOW!!What a place! Making the public awareof the past existence of these bands is an important part of North Americanmusic history. Even though the majority of bands eventually faded quietlyinto the past, in their "hay day "they were a vibrant and important partof a thriving musical culture that molded music into what it is today. The 60's was a great time to be in a rock band, as you well know, and tohave been part of such a unique era of music history makes me thankfulthat I ever picked up a guitar in the first place. My 60's band days haveforever been written in "stone" inside this aging head of mine, yet thosememories are as alive and spirited now as they were back then when I walkedout on stage for the first time. Those were wild and crazy times, and Iloved every rockin' minute of it.Ron Sullivan, The Self-Portrait, January 2011Mostof the members are still playing but the old days are still very memorable.Thank you for your support on this. It has allowed some of us to reconnectwith other musicians that we haven't seen for many years.Brian K. McDonald... Patch, Rasuptin, Sweeney Todd and others), NovemberWhata great gift you've given usChuck Burbank... The Beard, Blizzard, and more, January 2012I foundthis website just on chance, and what a treasure!Dick Barre, Mantis, February 2006Thanks a lot. I was ableto reach Steve Moshier after many years. Many thanks! I wasa vocalist for the band all through high school thanks again for puttingus in touch. LeeReddick, January 2013For years I have been meaningto send a note testifying to my strong belief that the PNW band site hasdone something wonderful for all of us who played in the Pacific Northwest.Yes you highlighted the bands, displayed our names, showed us some greatposters and vintage pics of us in our youth. You really gave eachand everyone of us who answered the bell our place in time. Knowthis, you have truly brought some wonderful memories back to each of usand. . . let our parole officers know our original identities. Weare all scattered across the United States and the world but each one ofus has a place we can have a reunion with our fellow musicians, our friendsand in some instances our ex-wives... Just kidding. Thanksfor a great gift. RichardWatson, February 2013
