Freedom of speech means that you have the right to your opinion. However, when it comes to heath advice, free speech is not an option: listen to the experts! According to this CRAAP approved news source, there are people on social media (NOT health care experts) who are actively saying that bleach can wipe-out Covid. I am not even going to use the name of the individual quoted in the article because I do not want to drive traffic to his site. These people are posting MISINFORMATION, have no expertise in anything related to the health field and are not posting verified research. Freedom of speech does NOT include the ability for you induce harm on others.Somehow, these people (YouTubers/TicToker/Instagramers) who do not know or understand how disinfectants work, think that something that is good at killing microbes on an inanimate surfaces, would be equally good at killing microbes INSIDE a living being. They need to realize the chemicals that make bleach toxic for bacteria and viruses are the same chemicals that can kill/harm human cells as well. Bleach does not and cannot discriminate between good and bad cells. People, we are ALL smarter than this. My advice? Read directions. Follow the experts. STOP watching these supposed influencers who are misinforming you.And remember, this is my BLOG, it is NOT a CRAAP approved site. While I do have a Ph.D in microbiology and have taught for microbiology at the college level for a number of years, it is up to YOU to research, investigate and find the truth that is out there. This startling report from the Foundation’s 2020 Food and Health Survey revealed that that during the pandemic:85% of surveyed individuals have changed they way they eat during lockdown.Consumers 18 to 35 years, and older than 50 years snacked more.Adults with children, and adults without children snacked more.Some women and some men reported thinking about food more than usual.Some women and some men indicated eating more food more than usual.
