The Monroe County Drain Commission will be closing Linda Drive at the Pin Oak Drain for replacement of the culvert under the road. This closure should only take approximately one (1) week to complete, weather permitting. Local residents west of the culvert will be able to access their homes from Deborah Drive. Local residents east of the culvert will be able to access their homes from Reinhardt Road. Due to the short duration of the losure and local nature of the traffic a detour will not be signed.The Monroe County Road Commission is currently seeking a Director of Finance. The Director of Finance is responsible for planning, directing and controlling the financial, accounting and budgetary functions for the Monroe County Road Commission (MCRC). The Director of Finance is accountable for leading the management staff in the MCRC s financial and accounting policies, systems and processes, regulatory requirements, payroll systems and processes and controls, ongoing financial modeling and annual business plan, supervises the Finance Department, and possesses the ability to perform a variety of accounting/finance/fund accounting functions including budget control and preparation, management of all fiscal records, inventory files, fixed assets, general ledger, monthly and year end reporting. Salary range is $63,462/yr - $72,981/yr based on education experience.Minimum qualifications required:Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance.Preferred qualifications:Five (5) years experience in Accounting or Finance including governmental accounting procedures and Fund Accounting, experience working with Act 51 accounting methods and procedures, CPA certification, five (5) years management experience.Applicants may apply in person or receive an application under the Employment tab on the left side of this page. Issues with the crossing should be directed to CSX; The Monroe County Road Commission has succeeded in getting the railroad to place some cold patch in the sawcut (rock filled) area to help with travel over the tracks. Please slow down and use caution in area. The detour route for this closure will utilize M125 to Albain Road to US24. We will update if any changes to schedule is communicated.Residential permit applications can now becompletedand paid for100% online. Applicable fees are outlined in theMCRC Fee Schedule.ROAD LOCATION:Minx Road at Rabideau Drain, between Telegraph Road US-24 and Dean Road.NOTIFICATION:Wednesday, May 20, 2020 - Minx Road will be closed to all traffic at the Rabideau Drain culvert crossing due to a failure of the pipe under the roadway, approximately 300-feet north of Telegraph Road. No detour route for this closure will be posted due to low traffic volumes and local use of the road.This closure will remain in effect until the culvert can be replaced in coordination with Bedford Township, Erie Township, and the Monroe County Drain Commission.TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:Minx Road between Telegraph Road and Dean Road is closed to all traffic. Item 7 of Cab Cards issued by the Monroe County Road Commission states as follows: The movement of vehicle and load upon any highway shall be during daylight hours only. Permits are not valid on Saturdays after 12:00 Noon, on Sundays, or during a period beginning at 12:00 Noon the day preceding and continuing until 12:00 Noon of the day following every legal holiday. Any vehicle with a current Cab Card issued by the Monroe County Road Commission that is transporting COVID-19 relief supplies will be considered exempt from these time restrictions.
