NEW: NEA released a report, All Hands on Deck, with guidance on reopening schools and keeping students and staff safe, and the American School Counselor Association has a new guide on addressing mental health needs upon reentry.  MOREAASA and the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), have built this chart that estimates the additional costs associated with reopening school buildings this fall, from cleaning products and PPE to transportation, with the average 3,600-student district incurring additional costs of at least $1.7 million.  MORELeaders from two of the largest and most influential education organizations, the National Education Association and the National PTA, held a press call to address the pressing issues facing students, families and educators, including what’s needed from Congress for the 2020-21 academic year.
