While students participate in hands-on learning experiences in the nation’s capital, teachers can connect with other educators from across the country on our one-of-a-kind Teacher Program in Washington, DC.  Close Up s digital resource libraries and professional development workshops give educators the tools to facilitate learning, debate, and discussion while bringing their classroom to life. and spend time with kids who had the same interest in our nation as I did, and grow and learn through debate and first-hand experiences. Close Up was amazing. I would go back in a heartbeat! It has inspired me to become a political leader in this great country. I have not only gained an even greater expansion of knowledge in the area of politics, but I have also gained lifelong friends. I plan to speak to everyone about the experience for students here. The curricular component has been rigorous and productive. Although everyone will not always agree, everyone has a voice and needs to be heard.
