ArsClip Official Release

Version 5.35 of ArsClip has been officially released.

For new features, the Filter (Search) feature on the Popup can no be configured to include Permanent Clips/Macros. Since the "Search and Paste" window has been deprecated, the Popup needed to replace the main features of this window. Also, a new JavaScript function has been added for making a Popup Clip "pinned".

Also, v5.34 introduced an error message that shows when running the program in the Program Files folder. The program now correctly detects Program Files installs, no matter the language setting of Windows, and will redirect writes to the AppData\Roaming\ArsClip folder.

ArsClip Official Release

Version 5.34 of ArsClip has been officially released. This release is all bug fixes and one tweak to the ArsClip.ini settings.

It's been a year since the last release of ArsClip. This isn't bad news, since AC is in a good place for flexibility. Currently there are only 2 new features planned for the next version. First, the Popup's Filter option needs an option to search Permanent Clips. Since the Search and Paste window has been deprecated, adding this feature will make the Popup feature complete as a full replacement. Second, there's no JavaScript functions for manipulating the Pinned Clips. This would allow for manipulating the Pinned Clips list just like the Popup Clips.

20 Year Anniversary

On the 26th of this month, it will mark the 20th year of this website. To put this in perspective, Windows 2000 and ME were the OSes that ArsClip and Rename Master were initially designed to run on. 800 x 600 was the common desktop resolution. High speed Internet was measure in Kilobytes/bits instead of Megabytes/bits. ArsClip early versions had about 1000-2000 lines of code and now has 70,000+ lines of code.

During this time period, I've received about 9000 emails for ArsClip and 5000 emails for Rename Master. There have been over 4 million downloads. User support has paid for the webhosting every year.

ArsClip Official Release

Version 5.33 of ArsClip has been officially released. This release is mostly fixes and compatibility updates.

This version also contains an experimental feature called the Text Inspector. This is a tool used mainly for copying text from places that don't allow for it, like an error message dialog. It also can copy items and columns from lists from Explore and Open/Save dialogs. To use this feature, Windows Vista or above is required.

NewFileGo Official Release

Version 1.06 of NewFileGo has been officially released. This small updates fixes an issue executing scripts with command line parameters.
