The world is currently facing the unprecedented situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Every industry is doing its best to navigate uncharted waters in how to move forward during and after precautionary measures have been lifted. We are cooperating with California Stay at Home guidelines on the situation, as all on-location filming across the state has been shut down. Along with the California Film Commission, FLICS member offices continue to monitor the situation statewide and are currently preparing plans for filmmaking to recommence on-location as soon as it is safe to do so. 

FilmLA has continued to provide updates and links to additional information relating to COVID-19 and filmmaking through their COVID-19 Resource Center found here.  We encourage all to monitor their updates, as well as information from authoritative sources, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). 

Many of our member offices continue to work remotely, and we know productions and crews are anxious to get back to doing what we do best- filmmaking. We are available for location requests through our Location Request Form located at the bottom of this page, so you can be prepared for your production to move forward as soon as possible. Several leaders in the filmmaking community have shared that filming is expected to pick up very rapidly as soon as precautions are lifted with an all-time high demand for new content across streaming platforms and several months of delays taken into account. Preparation is key to hit the ground running.

We know many factors continue to be uncertain as timelines and schedules are modified and updated, but one thing continues to be true - we are here for you.
