Message from Captain John Prather -- I will like to welcome everyone to ocean city guide service web page. We are excited to share with you that we have purchased a completely refitted 29 foot SeaVee. This is one of the most versatile fishing platforms in its size class. Our family friendly fishing atomosphere has not changed, we will still be offering two and four hour bay trips that many of you love. With the new boat comes many more fishing opportunities and we are now available to catch almost anything that swims.

I booked captain John for a stingray bow fishing trip. Nothing but good things to say, Capt. John and crew were very top notch and professional. He defiantly put us on the rays all day long, not more than a ten minute period without seeing rays, to bad we couldn’t do our part of hitting them, although we still boated 10 rays. Would defiantly recommend him to anyone looking to experience bow fishing stingrays.

I did a half day of inlet and bay fishing and couldnt have been happier with my choice. Everything was first rate, from top to bottom. Managed to catch a wide variety of fish and wouldnt hesitate to book a charter again! Capt. Prather and Mate Tyler were on their game for sure!

Captain John Prather

Captain John Prather is a MD native who has been fishing since childhood. Being a professional fisherman for the past 10 years, John has gained extensive knowledge about countless styles of fishing both inshore and offshore. Having traveled the east coast and on to the Bahamas, Mexico, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, he has encountered every situation imaginable.

Mate Austin

Austin is a young, ambitious outdoorsmen who loves spending time on the water. Austin has grown up around fishing and hunting and at a young age he has already become an excellent mate. His upbeat attitude and energy will ensure you have a great day on the water.

Mate Jimmy Jarman

Jimmy is a licensed charter captain and guide. As an eastern shore native he has been fishing and hunting the costal water ways since a child, it will not take long for you to notice his years of experience and knowledge.
