Find Your Insurance Company The Global Receivership Information Database ("GRID") is a database maintained by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. It contains data provided by the insurance receivers of the various states regarding insurance companies in receivership. This data includes such items as company assets and liabilities, distributions made, claim liability detail and other useful company information for consumers, claimants, and other interested parties. NAIC Consumer Information Source American Country Insurance Company (ASIC), American Service Insurance Company (ACIC), and Gateway Insurance Company (GIC) On September 10, 2020, the Supervising Court entered an order providing for the filing of proofs of claims in the American Service Insurance Company and American Country Insurance Company’s receivership estates and establishing a claim filing deadline of December 10, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. C.D.T.. The court also set a deadline of June 10, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. C.D.T. as the last day that any insured’s timely filed contingent claim must be liquidated by presenting proof of payment to the Liquidator. American Country Insurance Company and American Service Insurance Company ("ACIC and ASIC") On August 20, 2020, the Liquidator posted an Invitation for Bids (“IFB”) for the purchase of ACIC and ASIC’s clean corporate charter; and 64 Certificates of Insurance or State Licenses. American Service Insurance Company and American Country Insurance Company On August 11, 2020, an Agreed Order of Liquidation With A Finding of Insolvency (the “Liquidation Order”) was entered against American Service Insurance Company and American Country Insurance Company, by the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois (the “Supervising Court”). The Liquidation Order affirmed Robert H. Muriel, Director of the Illinois Department of Insurance, as statutory Liquidator. Gateway Insurance Company On June 10, 2020, an Agreed Order of Liquidation With A Finding of Insolvency (the “Liquidation Order”) was entered against Gateway Insurance Company, by the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois (the “Supervising Court”). The Liquidation Order affirmed Robert H. Muriel, Director of the Illinois Department of Insurance, as statutory Liquidator.
