Taxi Procedures for Cairns This reference explains step-by-step how to perform the procedures from pick-up off of the parking pad at Cairns until take-off from Cairns. The handout includes how both the IP and student should respond to check list items using the abbreviations IP (instructor pilot) and SP (student pilot). Logbook Form 2408-13 This is a one page document that demonstrates how to complete the information on the DA Form 2408-13-1 located in the aircraft logbook. This is commonly referred to as signing off the flight or annotating aircraft deficiencies. You will be required to complete both the 2408-12 and -13 for your P2 checkride. Lucas Traffic Pattern This is a handout for learning to fly the traffic pattern at Lucas Stagefield. You can apply the same basic steps at any stagefield. The only thing you may need to adjust is the altitudes if you are flying at Skelly or Highbluff. At these two stagefields, before turning crosswind, you clear at 550', turn at 600'. The downwind is flown at 900' instead of 1000' and the base is flown at 700' instead of 800'. Performance Planning Card This is an older tutorial that I developed for the old PPC. I am working on an updated PPC tutorial using the new PPC. However, in the meantime, you can use this tutorial as a study guide since the questions are basically the same. The card information is the same, it is just located in different places on the card. I hope to have the new tutorial completed in the next few weeks.

AR 40-8 Fligth Restrictions (2007) This reference is current as of June 2007. It is the most current copy of AR 40-8. AR 40-8 is the publication for Flight Restrictions due to Exogenous factors. There are significant changes from the earlier dated publication. Or, you can just download a short study guide for AR 40-8.
