Obituary Prof. Tröster

It is with great sorrow that we write of the passing of Professor Petr Tröster, who died on Monday the 29th of August at the age of 83 exhausted by short illness. Petr Tröster was a professor of labour and social security law.

For many years, Professor Tröster was a teacher, researcher, and academic official at the Law Faculty of Charles University and was an educator of several generations of lawyers.  Professor Tröster also held the high governmental positions of Deputy to the Health Minister and to the Justice Minister respectively.

Professor Tröster was also very active internationally. For many years, he was a member of the Executive Committee of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law, he was involved in the formation of the national branch of the Society and acted as its Vice President.

The Board of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law wishes to express its sorrow at the death of Professor Petr TRÖSTER and to convey its sincere condolence to his family and to the members of the Czech section.
