Kevin Morgan, Project Executive

Kevins career in the AEC industry began 28 years ago as Project Manager at a millwork company. Kevin then transitioned into General Contracting where he focused on high-end interiors as well as ground-up projects in the Washington, D.C. area, then moved on to managing the construction of larger, more complex projects in the Carolinas. Kevin has since worked for a top Global Real Estate provider which provided a better understanding of the clients perspective.

Kevin believes that doing it right the first time is a crucial element in building strong relationships with clients.

Blake Holmes, Preconstruction Executive

Blake started at Bobbitt in 2006 and has since estimated over $2 billion in projects throughout the southeast.  Blakes philosophy of listening, understanding the intent of the owners request and delivering what the client specifically wants has been an asset to the Bobbitt team.  Every day, Blake helps bring our clients visions to reality during the preconstruction phase by pulling together the right team to find solutions to any challenges.

Blake has Bachelor of Science degree in construction engineering and management from North Carolina State University and successfully passed the FE exam prior to starting his career at Bobbitt.

Nick Riddle, General Manager, Service Solutions

Nick graduated from Virginia Tech (Cum Laude) with a business degree but has been around the construction industry since grade school. After college, he ran a successful restoration franchise for 6 years before moving to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2017.  Nick spent several years helping grow a new regional office for a large national General Contractor and successfully completed hundreds of thousands of square feet of Class “A” office space.

Nick joined Bobbitt in 2020 and is the General Manager of the Service Solutions group. Nick believes this industry is all about quality relationships with the clients, subcontractor partners, superintendents, suppliers, owners reps and property managers.  His goal is to always have honest and open communication with all project stakeholders, because there is one common goal: a successful project. At the end of the day, Nick wants to make every client a lifelong Bobbitt fan.

Neal Conley, Project Executive

Prior to joining Bobbitt, Neal was Project Architect and Principal for over 20 years, working on successful and noteworthy projects in North Carolina. After joining Bobbitt as Project Executive, Neal has been a key member in both public and private Design-Build, CM-at-Risk and Design-Bid-Build projects.

Having sat at “both sides of the table” as architect and contractor, Neal understands the importance of a team-first approach, treating everyone with fairness. Since design and construction can be a challenging process, Neal has always strived for ensuring a smooth process with successful outcomes not only for his clients, but for all project stakeholders. Neal holds degrees from Miami University and North Carolina State University.

Brian Van Horn, Project Executive

Brian’s 36-year career started as a construction laborer during engineering school before graduating to become an engineer, designing and managing the construction of manufacturing, transportation, pharmaceutical and laboratory projects.

Since joining Bobbitt, Brian has led project development on a wide range of Design-Build projects including office, flex, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, commercial, religious, medical and laboratory facilities. Finding and executing creative solutions to effectively and efficiently solve clients needs is Brian’s passion.

Will Marshburn, Project Executive

After earning a Masters of Business Administration from Pfieffer University, Will began his career in public accounting working with small businesses, later moving to a Fortune 500 company.  Eager to return to helping small businesses grow their spaces, Will dedicates his time at Bobbitt to making construction projects happen.

Wills desire to make construction easy for small business owners enables them to concentrate on their business, which is why 75% of his projects come from repeat clients.  Will is on the Industry Council for the NC Veterinary Medical Association, a member of the AICPA and coaches baseball and basketball teams. Will has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from North Carolina State University.

Parks Buie, Superintendent Manager

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree at East Carolina University in construction management in 2000, Parks began his career at Bobbitt.  Parks continued to expand his industry knowledge through the mentorships provided by experienced Superintendents and Project Managers.

Parks has since become the leader and mentor he is today—a living example of success through hard work, a positive attitude and willingness to learn from others. His general philosophy is pretty simple: Communicate and give people the tools (physical and mental) they need to succeed.  We succeed as a team and fail as a team.

Andy Speck, Director of Preconstruction

Andy started his career as a US Army Engineer Officer before entering the AEC industry as a structural engineer. He progressively managed larger teams that eventually lead to a leadership position with an organization offered estimating, design and detailing, covering projects in multiple states. Andy joined Bobbitt in 2017 as Project Executive and has since been promoted to Director of Preconstruction overseeing all Bobbitt projects.

Andy is a firm believer in having integrity and honestyalways, treating everyone with respect, overcommunicating, providing a clear vision to clients and clear expectations to the project team. Andy has a Master of Science in structural engineering from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science from Missouri University of Science and Technology.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states.

Christy Hall, Human Resources

Christy started her 35-year career with the Department of Justice/SBI.  Since joining Bobbitt in 1986, Christy has held a variety of positions including Contract Administrator, Accounts Payable, Benefits, Payroll, Safety Director, Risk Management and Human Resources.

Christy is a living example of her own philosophy: to build on the past with a forward-facing vision and growth mindset.

Ron McKenzie, Director of Safety

Ron’s 30-year career started while he was still in college doing chemical and environmental consulting.  His clients were mainly small aerospace and military contractors that needed HAZMAT and environmental assistance with the changing safety laws of the 1980s.  He was later drawn into the world of high-rise construction and worked on projects throughout California, Washington, New York, Texas and Nevada.

In addition to numerous high rises, Ron’s experience includes presidential libraries, hospitals, parks, airports and the mitigation efforts after the catastrophic Gulf Oil Spill in 2010. Finally settling in the Carolinas, Ron hasn’t lost sight that safety is about people, not processes, caring for each individual on the job and making sure they get to go home at the end of the day to see their loved ones. Ron is a member of the ANSI Standards Board, he is an OSHA 500 outreach trainer (BCSP CHST, STS) and a member of the Carolina’s Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Safety Committee.

Susannah Barringer, Director of Marketing and Communications

As a 17-year construction industry veteran, Susannah has experience leading over $2.5 billion in project awards nationally. As the head of Bobbitts creative branch, Susannahs responsibilities include advertising, pursuit strategy, communications, branding and quality control.

Susannah is a LEED AP and currently serves as the Director of Communications for CMAA NC.

Tim Murphy, Vice President

Tim’s 35 years of AEC industry experience includes owning and managing his own design-build company for 12 years and working with several large commercial general contractors doing private and public Design-Bid-Build and CM-at-Risk work, as well as private Design-Build work.

Tim joined Bobbitt in 2018 to be part of a team where his passion continues to be finding solutions to keep projects moving forward. His Design-Build and commercial construction experience includes churches, healthcare facilities, athletic and community facilities, schools, industrial buildings, correctional facilities, mixed-use and multi-family developments. He enjoys building relationships and seeing a satisfied clients smile after bringing their vision to life.

Jim Bell, Vice President

Jim joined Bobbitt in 2002 after his military career as a Combat Engineering Officer with the US Army Corps of Engineers. Jims passion for creating places where people work, play, worship, heal and live has made him one of the most knowledgeable design builders in the market.

His many achievements include winning the TBJ 40 Under 40 Award and Board Member of the Year for the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce. Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Vanderbilt University.

Chuck Howe, Senior Vice President Operations

Chuck started his AEC career at a civil engineering firm before starting his own construction company.  After eight years, Chuck sold his share of the business and joined the Bobbitt team in 1992.  During his 36-year career in construction, Chuck knows that a good General Contractor is only as good as its subcontractors.

Chuck is a member of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and holds a General Contractors license in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Josh Menold, Chief Financial Officer

Josh’s business acumen originated early, growing up on his family’s farm and learning the meaning of hard work including sales, day-to-day operations and finance. It instilled in Josh a deep seated passion in leveraging metrics and detailed analysis to drive “real world” success by realigning a business’s finances and creating infrastructure to support growth.

Josh believes the greatest value Bobbitt can offer its customers is the ability to remain focused on running their business—not on the construction process.

Blair Pittman, Site Department Manager

Blair started his career in engineering and design working in the field as a surveyor and CAD technician.  Since joining Bobbitt, Blair has developed his skills in commercial site design and planning, creating and streamlining the design process to enable clients to identify the best location and design to fit their needs.

Blair has led his team to successfully deliver over 100 projects a year, including 30 fire stations across North Carolina. Blair has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University.

Matt Culler, Project Executive

Matts career began in geotechnical and civil engineering where he gained valuable experience in a variety of services including environmental consulting, geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and special inspections, and site civil engineering. Since joining Bobbitt as a Project Executive specializing in sales, Matt has come to firmly believe that success in the AEC industry boils down to relationships and trust.  Matt is a Central SC Alliance Board Member, Midlands Executive Committee Member, and South Carolina Economic Developers Alliance (SCEDA) Membership and Annual Conference Planning Committee Member.  Matt has a Bachelors degree in marine science from the University of South Carolina and is a 2016 Leadership Columbia Graduate.

Brian Denisar , Chief Executive Officer

Brian joined the Bobbitt Team in 2020 as the company’s youngest CEO to date. He has proven experience with over 17 years in construction and client development. He has a strong ability to drive new business, manage projects and mentor successful teams. Brian’s strengths range from execution on the operations side with a deep understanding of the importance of building strong relationships, to delivering outstanding customer service and knowing how to build profit.

Success for Brian is achieved with a “get it done” attitude and “do whatever it takes” mentality. That leadership mindset was proven early on at the beginning of what would be Brian’s lifelong commitment to team sports, specifically collegiate level baseball where he played for four years. Brian graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Administration from Mount St. Mary College.
