About this siteThe purpose of this site is to share what I have learned while researching the New England Colonial roots of my mother. Pages about people show sources for the information presented on the page and where possible, images are provided in hyper text links. Due to rules on online databases, I cannot show images of records or newspaper articles found there here. I do, however, have images of records from archives available. All photographs were taken by me and are protected by copyright law. I am a Professional Genealogist and this site will not deal in conjecture. Every person on this site has been checked and rechecked. Guess work and assumptions have no place in genealogy. This site is a work in progress. DedicationApril 14, 2010This site is dedicated to my mother, Dorothy Kent Dewey who was the most amazing woman I have ever known. Her gift of love for everyone knew no bounds. Her father spent much of his life researching the family history. His uncle Adelbert Dewey was editor of the big Dewey Genealogy published in 1898. This site was created to help me follow her ancestors through New England and tell their stories. hopefully it will help others as well. Please note that this site is a work in progress. You can access individual family pages from there which will include pertinent data, biograhphies and records where I can offer them. If you are looking for people that is the page to begin with. The location pages will be a brief overview of the early history of these towns with links to more substantial sites and town records. The photo galleries will contain photographs I took on my trip to New England and will include headstones, cemeteries, monuments, buildings or sights of historical significance. You can view the galleries HEREUPDATES I have neglected this site for years, however, I am rectifying that and the latest updates were done on 29 May 2020.
